Web Version Moving to GameJolt

Hello everyone,

Dungeon of the Devourer has grown quite a bit in the last two years of development! So much so, that the game can hardly fit onto the Itch.io anymore. Because of a technical file limit, I have to start hosting the web version of DotD on GameJolt.

I will still upload the downloadable Windows and Mac versions of the game to Itch, as well as patch notes and updates. But the latest web version will be on GameJolt.

Unfortunately, this means web saves files won't be carried over to the new site :( There's not workaround to this that I know of at the time.

This is a big disappointment to me as well, as I have many well progressed save files on Itch that I have to restart. But I've done what I can talking to itch support, and they inform me that there is a hard limit for the number of files in the game.

Rather than reduce the scope of the game and cut content and characters, I've decided to bite the bullet and make the switch.

The web version will remain to be free!

Hope y'all understand!

Glacie P.

P.s. The good news is, patch 0.7.0 will be launching soon! I'm doing some final clean up and polish, then it'll be out either this week or next!

I don’t think that’s gonna work out. Three years ago, they wiped adult content from GJ. Came along with this blog post.

https://gamejolt.com/p/we-clarified-the-adult-content-section-of-the-site-guidelines-pdiy7etz

They say they don’t allow “content that is pornographic, sexually explicit…”, but in practice, I believe this included basically all nudity and fetish content.

EDIT: Yeah, they took down anything that even came close to sexual content, it looks like. Article.

Damn,  I might need to find another host site then :(

Isnt game jolt the site that remove adult stuff tho? I feel it maybe hard to put this on there tbh but good luck!

Damn really? They have tags and content ratings stuff, so I assumed they wouldn't. Well see how it goes I guess!
