0.6.0 - Water Zones Test (Update 2 )


*This is a very early build. Lots of story elements and stuff missing. This is mostly intended for me to test some of the combat and puzzles.*

Update 2

  • New artwork for several creatures! Including: Mimics, statue knights, puffshroom, inflatus funguar, cupcakes, and chompshrooms
  • Added enemy encounters to several of the new zones
  • New enemies and skills
  • Fixed issue with interacting with water runes
  • Fixed text and dialogue in the candy factory when there are no other party members
  • Various small fixes and changes


Notes

  • Whole new zones for the Water themed element
    • Froggy Pond, introduction to the water element
    • Lady Lake, the central hub for the water zone
    • The Lagoon, a beach themed town
    • The Cove, first major dungeon of the zone (half way completed)
  • New Skill/Ability: Geyser
    • Spray water to clean off slime, grow plants, and more

So 2nd round of feedback:

1. The text and dialog in the candy factory when there are no other party members is still not fixed. Yes I did test this both in and out of incognito and there are still invisible party members pushing you.

2. Game seems to not load the house, but can be jumped out from using bounce. This issue is also persistant out of incognito as well.

Will there be a new type of water-related inflation in this update? I hope so!

So the initial playthrough, there were a lot of problems, some old, some new:

Old problems:

1. The candy factory solo run still has invisible party members pushing Mari from the tube (Already made the same comment on the WGaming fourm.


New problems:

1. Game crashes when trying to interact with the dev girl to get to the new content (See 3rd pic)

2. Weird boundries for the signs with the water strenghs and weaknesses (See 1st pic)

3. The game seems to be soft locked on the water statue fight (See 2nd pic, and yes I did wait a while to see if it would do anything, but didn't do anything after selecting an attack, a little bit more playthrough and it seems like it's only this attack that has a problem)

4. The stone snake seems to allow for infinite blades apparently

5.  The water rune doesn't seem to work at all when you step on it even when water bloated for the door that leads to the statue


Also, a lot places that should be out of bounds can be accessed through bounce

Probably will find more bugs and issues with some more testing, but these were the main ones I found with a quick playthrough.

Thanks for the testing :) This is still a very early build! Ill be adding boundary walls that are missing and cleaning things up as I go. Weirdly I didnt experience bugs 1,3, and 5 you mentioned. I noticed you are playing incognito mode, do those bugs happen when playing without that mode?

Made a quick test with the bugs out of incognito mode, bugs 1 and 3 seem to be fine when not in incognito, but bug 5 is still present even when not in incognito.

mmm not bad, tbh quiet good, tho i can say that im glad you are slowly putting more of your designs into the enemy sprites, will they also have the effect like the slime or WG consdering that we can apply it to them as how they can apply it to the characters? (im asking more of curiosity)

sorry for the long silence, i meant more like some enemies will inflic the status of fat or inflated, but the players can also afflict such creatures with that same status (ie the ones that are humanoid, ie goblins, faries, etc), so i had the question if there is gonna be like what you said about replacing the rpg maker sprites with your own, but also the status effects to the enemies.

ahh I see what you mean. I had that idea a while back, but it would take a lot of extra assets or edits. It's a maybe on the backburner, but would be really cool!
