0.5.0 Testing - Candy Factory Part 1 (Update 3)


0.5.0 - Candy Factory Part 1

  • The Candy Factory is now open!
    • Pick up the quest from a gobbo in Chub Town or talking to Gally at the gates
    • First half of the dungeon is finished, second half coming later
    • New Cutscenes, Zones,  Monsters, Items, and a minigame!
    • Some alternate cutscenes on the vore route
  • Recruit Gally
    • Expandgineer class, a tool kit of wacky invention themed skills ranging from 1 - 20
    • Pick her up by talking to her in front of the Factory
    • She will leave the party when exiting the area, but can be picked back up
    • Will become a permanent playable character in Part 2 of the update, after you finish the dungeon

    • Dr Lucy room water tiles
    • Nerf Velvet cupcake ATK / magic
    • Pump game, doesnt trigger when dead and displays Gally before starting

Some problems with the new update (I was a bit late to write this before the update was released):


1. Wallywix's dialogue plays both the normal and the vore route despite only going one route. 


2. Wallywix is the one seen instead of Gally during the chocolate river scene


3. The same blimp storage rune not inflating every party member after stepping on it like it used to in previous updates


4. Interacting with any equipment/weapon in the inventory menu throws the "this.item.effects is not iterable" error

1. I think this was fixed in the release version of 0.5.0, are u able to try it out?

2/4 I got a fix for this coming out soon.

3. I believe I changed this to just be Mari and its not a bug. Though multiple ppl have mentioned it now, so maybe I should x) But that involves changing some of the narrative, so itll be on the backlog

The problem for 1 is still present in 0.5.0.

Do you have steps to trigger it? I cant seem to find the problem

It happens in when going through the dev room:

1. In the dev room, activate the dev room waypoint start by going to add Gigi to the team

2. Go back out and then use teleport back to the dev room

3. Head back and teleport to the candy factory through the dev room

4. Play the game normally from there, and walk into the room.

I think I found the problem. Do you do a normal run or vore run through Dev the menu? and do you pick up Gally?

Did a quick playthrough of the new content, here's my thoughts.

Like the set up and encounters so far! Good mix of natural kink content (being able to eat the scenery is wonderful and I hope there might be more interactions with that), the pipe cutscene as well hits my buttons so plus there and I do enjoy how the "rest" is handled in the factory.

One bug I noticed though is the pipe cutscene is infinitely repeatable, and can be done even if you do the alternate route of the chocolate river. The latter is fine but might need to add a sentence after the first "stuckage" to not have that be done.

Second bug, minor as well but if you go left once you enter the factory you seem to get the message twice in a row.

As for my nitpicks, I only have two, but one is that the bathroom key card should probably be made more obvious. I did not notice it when I first went through and only by interacting with everything did I realize the trash can was where it was. Perhaps changing it to something more obvious would help.

The other one is that it seems you're unable to really start the "vore" route of the candy factory through the dev menu, it just defaults you to Jill. So might want to add that to the options just for checking.

Otherwise, look forward to the second half of the dungeon (ESPECIALLY that blueberry room. Fingers crossed that we might get some berried Mari action) 

Thanks for the feed back! I'll make sure I fix that Issy bug (tho I'm sure some people will want to play it multiple times xD also same, I went feral while writing it. I was really cooking pure glass like Mr white).

You should be able to access the vore route the long, but I'll add a thingy for it!

For the message twice, which one specifically?

The one you get once you enter the factory and attempt to move. Where Willy Wonka Gally talks to you and all that.

Here are some problems and feedback:


1. One of the doughnuts in the tasting room remains even after you take them


2. The feederbot does not trigger a game over after losing to it (You return back to the game map with 1 hp on all party members) - I assume there will be a special game over cutscene for this one


3. There seems to be no employee keycards to be found in all areas of the candy factory that are accessible - I don't know if it was added in yet though


4. There is a spot in the path to Dr. Lucy that has water properties (The tile above the computer)


5. The stairway leading to Dr. Lucy feels very janky (The interaction is on the railing when moving up on the railing and down to the floor)


6. The pump minigame is a bit janky, especially when you leave and then interact again


7. The feeder bot can be bypassed by moving above him


8. The slime area zone is accessible - It probably shouldn't be I assume


9. The blimp storage rune only inflates one party members as opposed to everyone in the party - It used to do this in previous versions but went unfixed, I assume this is due to the rune in the blimp storage sharing the same as the inflation trap runes


10. You can bounce on and off the railings to get to the lower floor, along with a lot of other janky out-of-bounds bouncing


11. The left terminal in the room behind the chocolate waterfall is inaccessible (Invisible barrier/wall)

How did you get into the slime zone?

The hole properties is not properly set as a barrier, so you can walk around the developer girl and interact with the rope ladder from behind.

Oh good catch. New tile set so prob some issues

A couple of things:

1. The berry room door doesn't work, and soft locks the player. (Might be just unfinished, but thought worth mentioning)

2. The pipe in the candy garden traps you in the main hall's walls.

3.  Gally is really fragile to the cupcakes. She dies in one sprinkle attack, even when starting at full hp. 

4. In the tasting room, the door way by the scientist acts like a water tile. The back stairway leading to the area also doesn't let you go back up.

5. Boss annihilator only does about ~400 damage, and disappears after one use.

6. In the quick start options in the new game room, selecting 'Isabella at the factory'  teleports you to the candy garden, Isabella is not present. (Also unfinished content?)

1. Yes this isnt done yet, I'll make sure the door is disabled for now

2. This bug only happens when immobile, and lets be honest no ones leaving the garden skinny x)

3. Gallys initial starter gear needs a boost, its set as if she was lvl 1, so I'll give her a nice set of items :)

4. Fixed those, will be updated soon.

5. Oh that one is Kira's fault  :P Ill fix it for testing purposes

6. That only teleports you to right before u go thru the tube to start the event. The immobile bug going through it is why it doesnt trigger her.

i accidently dropped into the river, claw hand picked me up and now I can't progeress?

Are you unable to walk around? You should be able to find a key to get out of the cleaning area.
