0.3.0 - The WIDE Update



Hello devourers, thanks for checking out this update! In this patch, I’ve made some big changes to the game, much of it under the hood and some very impactful. Big ones are obviously Jill’s new art, the new screen resolution, and zones. But the rest are improvements to systems the players don’t see. That being said, there is not a ton of new story content, but still a fair bit! The stuff we have here was done in tandem with other content coming up, so stay tuned for that!

Some people may be outside the Seal of Wind already in their save file, however, this is an old map. Please exit it and head back north! There is new stuff in between the forest town and the dungeon. If you unlocked the teleport already, then you’ll get a free skip!

There may be issues with old save files. Hopefully not, but enough has changed that it is likely.

Patch Notes: 

  • Jill Immobile size - Finally, Jill has art for her fattest form :>
  • New Music - Cavern Vibes by ExplosvShoggoth now plays in the caverns!
  • New Gallery Unlock - New fan art piece by M.Locke, found in Spore Village
    • Jill in party is required to trigger the event
  • Screen resolution updated to 720x1280
    • There's a lot more room for our characters to grow!
    • See things like never before, like knees that were cut off!
  • New Zone: Spore Trails & Spore Village
    • Explore a new area north of the forest
    • Includes a new town, puzzles, enemies, cutscenes, and more
  • Intro to The Seal of Wind dungeon
    • Only the lead up and talking to a new character is implemented yet
    • The dungeon itself will be in a future update
    • If you are on the old seal of wind entrance map, leave it and come back to get to the new ones
  • Drinking Game!
    • After completing Red’s quest, a drinking game in Spore Village will be available
    • Winning earns you the Massive Belch skill 
  • Rematch Karia’rashi
    • Go for round 2 with the big fat dragon
    • Won’t give any extra EXP or gold
    • Gives you a chance to apply Berried to her if you missed out
  • New Sound Effects
    • Each main character now has new SFX for their sizing animations!
    • Each status and size has a new sound!
    • New optional setting when deflating
  • Animation changes
    • Size up / down animations now fade in/out
    • Tweaks to positioning because the new screen size
  • Guest Characters!
    • Locke and Keia from M.Lock
    • Martha from ExplosvShoggoth
    • Bava from Vanduoo
  • Quest tracking/notifications for early "Save My Village" objectives
  • HUD Fixes
    • Made more compact
    • Fixed issue with Mari’s mana
  • Aerate changes
    • No longer inflates the target
      • Having an enemy no longer be weak to Inflation after using aerate felt bad, as it would apply the inflated status
      • Will add an ability to inflate a target later
    • Added new art for Aerate’s in battle and out of battle animations
    • Changed the damage formula to be better
  • Slight changes to Kari'arashi's feeding minigame
  • Issabella now only blocks the entrance to the Seal of Flesh  until you reach the central chamber of the dungeon.
  • The Fattening Fairy got nerfed again
  • Bug fixes
    • Lot of small fixes
    • Fixed a major bug that would incorrectly animate or set the wrong character to a new size, and often remove the status abilities for that character
      • If the issue still happens, please let me know when it happened!
    • There's a few spelling and grammar mistakes fixed
      • Mari's village is no longer affected by a fowl plague of birds
